# BlindPay MCP server

Let your AI agent quote, send, and track stablecoin payments from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client.

## What is the BlindPay MCP server?
A hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp that gives AI agents the BlindPay API as tools. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client, and the agent can quote and send stablecoin payouts, create customers, issue virtual accounts, and track transactions from a plain-English request.

## Server URLs
- `https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp`: Every tool, with OAuth sign-in
- `https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp/readonly`: Read tools only
- `npx -y @blindpay/mcp`: Local server with an API key

## What agents can do
- Customers and onboarding (Read and write): Create and update customers, run KYC and KYB, answer RFIs, request limit increases.
- Quotes and FX (Read and write): Quote payouts, payins, transfers, and FX rates before anything moves.
- Payouts (Moves money): Send payouts from EVM chains, Solana, and Stellar to bank accounts, then track their status.
- Payins (Moves money): Quote payins in local currency and follow them until the stablecoins land in a wallet.
- Transfers (Moves money): Quote and execute stablecoin transfers, then track them to completion.
- Bank accounts and wallets (Read and write): Add bank accounts and blockchain wallets, read balances, turn yield on or off.
- Virtual accounts (Read and write): Issue virtual accounts that receive USD bank transfers and settle to stablecoins.
- Payables and partner fees (Read and write): Register bills, invoices, boletos, and Pix codes to pay, and set the fees you add to transactions.
- Webhooks and team (Read and write): Manage webhook endpoints and instance members.
- Reference data (Read only): Look up available rails, bank details, SWIFT codes, and NAICS codes.

## FAQ
### Which AI clients can connect to the BlindPay MCP server?
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code, Grok, and any other client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. Clients that only run local servers can use npx -y @blindpay/mcp.

### Where does the MCP server run?
BlindPay hosts it at https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp, with a read-only surface at https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp/readonly. The same tools also ship as an open-source package you can run locally with npx -y @blindpay/mcp, an API key, and an instance ID.

### Which tools does it expose?
Tools are generated from the same OpenAPI document as the API reference, so a new public endpoint becomes a new tool. The MCP tools reference in the docs lists every tool, grouped by API area.

### Can an agent move money without asking me?
The server runs the calls the agent makes; it does not hold one for approval. Write and delete tools are marked, so clients that read MCP annotations can ask before running them. Keep a confirmation step in your prompt, start on a development instance, or connect to https://mcp.blindpay.com/mcp/readonly, which only reads.

### Can I test an agent without real money?
Yes. Connect it to a development instance. KYC is approved automatically, payins and payouts complete on their own, and on-chain flows use USDB, a test token with no real funds behind it. A request_amount of 66600 makes a payout or payin fail and 77700 makes it refunded, so the agent can practice those paths too.

### Do compliance checks still apply when an agent makes the call?
Yes. Every tool call runs through the same API as a direct request, with the same KYC and KYB requirements, limits, and audit trail.
